Terms of Service
Effective August 27, 2026
Using Gaffer
Gaffer is a chord chart and band collaboration tool for musicians. By creating an account you agree to use it only for lawful purposes and only to upload or process content you have the right to use (your own charts, arrangements you've made, or content you have permission to store).
Your content
You own the chord charts, setlists, and other content you create in Gaffer. We store it on your behalf so you can access and share it; we don't claim ownership of it and don't use it for anything beyond providing the app's features to you and the bands you share it with.
Subscriptions
Gaffer offers Free, Pro, and Band subscription tiers. Paid subscriptions are billed through Apple, Google, or RevenueCat depending on how you subscribed, renew automatically unless cancelled, and are subject to the refund policies of the platform you purchased through (the App Store or Play Store). You can manage or cancel your subscription from your Apple or Google account settings, or from Settings inside Gaffer.
Band collaboration
When you invite others to a band, you're granting them access to the charts and setlists you share with that band, at the role you assign them. You're responsible for who you invite and what you share.
Account termination
You can delete your account at any time from Settings — see our Privacy Policy for what happens to your data when you do. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or misuse the service.
Service "as is"
Gaffer is provided as-is, without warranties of any kind. We work hard to keep it reliable, especially Performance Mode, but we're not liable for lost data, missed cues, or other issues arising from use of the app during a rehearsal or live performance — keep a backup of critical charts.
Changes
We may update these terms as Gaffer evolves. Material changes will be reflected here with an updated effective date.
